REMOTE SURGICAL TEACHING FOR MEDICAL STUDENTS

A Novel Surgical Training Solution
Anecdotal reports from junior doctors and medical students suggest that surgical skills and training have been severely affected by the current COVID 19 pandemic. Medical students are particularly vulnerable as they do not yet play a formal role in the medical service.

The London School of Cardiothoracics has set out to mitigate this by establishing remote surgical teaching sessions for medical students using the Rods and Cones Smart Glasses. and technology ecosystem.
